How to Apply Arctic Fox Hair Color
Follow these simple steps for vibrant, long-lasting color
⚠️ Important: Everyone's hair is different! We strongly recommend doing a Strand Test to preview your results and a Patch Test to ensure you're not allergic before full application.
Step 1: Prepare Your Hair
Shampoo and dry hair thoroughly. Do NOT use conditioner. Clean, dry hair allows for better color absorption.
Step 2: Protect Your Skin (Optional)
Apply coconut oil or petroleum jelly around your hairline and on your ears to prevent staining. This makes cleanup easier!
Step 3: Open the Bottle
Remove the bottle cap and inner seal. Make sure you have all your supplies ready before starting.
Step 4: Prepare the Color
Put on protective gloves and pour the desired amount into a bowl. You can always add more if needed!
Step 5: Apply the Color
Using a color brush, apply color evenly from root to tip. Start at the nape of your neck and work upward through your head. Make sure to completely saturate each hair strand for even, vibrant color.
Step 6: Let It Process
Cover your hair with a plastic cap and leave the color on for at least 30 minutes or longer. Arctic Fox contains added conditioner and won't damage your hair, so leaving it on longer will only intensify the color!
Step 7: Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse your hair with cool water until the water runs clear. Pro tip: For the first rinse, use a kitchen sink rather than the shower to better control the water temperature and prevent staining. Cold water helps seal the color!
💚 Aftercare Tips
- Make sure your hair is completely dry before sleeping to prevent color transfer to pillowcases
- If you've stained your skin, remove it with rubbing alcohol or a professional color remover
- Use color-safe shampoo and cool water for washing to maintain vibrancy
- Avoid heat styling when possible to extend color life
