PATCH TEST
Patch Test
A simple safety check before coloring your hair
⚠️ Important: Why You Need a Patch Test
A patch test helps identify potential allergic reactions before you apply color to your entire head. Even if you've used hair color before, it's important to test each time, as sensitivities can develop over time. This simple 24-hour test can prevent serious allergic reactions.
How to Perform a Patch Test
Step 1: Choose Your Test Area
Select a small area of skin in one of these locations:
- Behind your ear (most common)
- Inner fold of your elbow (alternative spot)
Choose an area about the size of a quarter.
Step 2: Clean the Area
Wash the test area with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly with a clean towel. This ensures accurate test results.
Step 3: Apply the Product
Apply a thin coat of your specific Arctic Fox hair color to the test area and let it dry completely. Use the exact shade you plan to use on your hair.
Step 4: Wait 24 Hours
Leave the test area uncovered and undisturbed for 24 hours. Don't wash it, scratch it, or cover it with bandages. Just let it be!
Step 5: Examine Carefully
After 24 hours, examine the test area carefully. Look for any signs of reaction.
✅ Safe to Proceed
If the test area looks and feels normal with no redness, itching, swelling, or irritation, you're good to go! You can proceed with coloring your hair.
🛑 Do NOT Use If You Notice:
- Redness or rash
- Itching or burning sensation
- Swelling or bumps
- Any discomfort or irritation
- Blistering or oozing
If you experience any of these symptoms, do not use the product. If symptoms are severe or persist, consult a healthcare professional.
💡 Important Reminders
- Test every time - Even if you've used the product before, perform a patch test each time
- Test each color - Different shades may have different formulations
- Plan ahead - Remember to do this 24 hours before you want to color your hair
- When in doubt, don't - If you're unsure about any reaction, it's better to be safe
